How we estimate gas and transfer fees

Every 10 minutes a scheduled job queries public blockchain nodes and stores a snapshot for each network. Pages convert those amounts to US dollars with the latest CoinGecko price of the network's native token.

EVM chains

We read eth_gasPrice and eth_feeHistory (median priority tip of the last 10 blocks) and use the higher of the two as the price a typical wallet would offer. Gas units: 21,000 for a native transfer, 65,000 for a token transfer (an upper estimate: transfers to existing holders often use 35,000–50,000) and 180,000 for a simple DEX swap.

Rollups (L1 data fee)

OP Stack chains (OP Mainnet, Base, Unichain, Celo): GasPriceOracle.getL1FeeUpperBound. Arbitrum: ArbGasInfo.getPricesInWei (price per L1 calldata byte). Scroll: L1GasPriceOracle.getL1Fee. Linea's gas price already includes data costs.

Bitcoin

Recommended fee rates from the open-source mempool.space API, applied to a 141-vbyte transaction (1 SegWit input, 2 outputs).

Solana

5,000 lamports per signature plus the median recent priority fee over a 50,000 compute-unit budget; sending a token to a new holder adds the 0.00203928 SOL rent of an associated token account.

TRON

Live energy and bandwidth prices from the TRON chain parameters; a TRC-20 transfer uses 64,285 energy (130,285 to a new holder), assuming no staked or rented energy.

Limits

These are estimates of the network fee, not quotes. Wallets, congestion and token contracts change the real cost, and exchanges add their own withdrawal fee. Sources: public RPC nodes (publicnode.com, Solana Foundation, TronGrid), mempool.space, prices by CoinGecko.
